Novopor Conducts Offsite Emergency Mock Drill in Collaboration with Government Authorities

Novopor Advanced Science Pvt. Ltd. recently conducted an offsite emergency mock drill simulating a chlorine gas leak scenario extending beyond plant boundaries. The drill was designed to evaluate emergency response procedures, coordination mechanisms, and readiness to handle a potential offsite chemical emergency.

The exercise was carried out in collaboration with government agencies including the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), Fire and Emergency Services, Factories department, Police, APIIC, and nearby mutual aid industries. All key emergency functions were activated during the drill, including rescue operations, leak containment, first aid response, evacuation, and communication protocols.

Simulated casualties were safely managed by emergency response teams using protective equipment such as SCBA kits and chemical leak control devices. Medical teams and site personnel coordinated through the Emergency Control Centre, with oversight and guidance provided by designated site and incident controllers.

The drill was observed by officials and safety professionals from participating agencies and industries. It served as a practical demonstration of coordinated emergency preparedness involving both on-site and off-site stakeholders.

The event concluded with a briefing and feedback session, acknowledging the participation of all involved parties and reinforcing the importance of joint response planning in chemical industry operations.
